Dave Gordon MD, ABOIM, IFMCP
With over 20 years in practice, Dr. Dave is known for helping individuals prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases. He believes in a personalized, root-cause approach to creating health while prioritizing lifestyle modification alongside other integrative treatments. He is also an expert in cannabis medicine and helps individuals implement safe and effective regimens as part of their holistic health plan. He has seen cannabis therapies transform patients’ health and well-being and is excited to be at the forefront of this medicine’s re-introduction.
Dr. Dave is board-certified in internal and integrative medicine and is a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. He provides physician consultations for those needing guidance with reducing chronic disease and optimizing health, with or without medical cannabis therapy.
Jordan New, L.Ac, MSAOM, is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist since 2004. After graduating with a Master's in Acupuncture and Herbalism from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jordan started New Vibes Health and Acupuncture in Denver, an alternative medicine and wellness clinic dedicated to helping people relieve pain, heal digestive issues, and support optimal wellbeing. His offers can help to reduce follicular inflammation and increase blood flow to the scalp, providing essential nutrients to promote hair growth. Stress reduction from acupuncture also assists to prevent hair loss.
Diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age, Jordan once struggled with severe back pain. Today, he is virtually pain-free with the help of natural healing therapies. His mission is to share this knowledge and the gift of health with others, helping them to also live a pain-free, vibrant, and healthy life!
Salena Rothenberger, D.PSc, CFMP, CHC
Salena and her husband spent many years challenged with infertility, losing their first four children. In 2014, their oldest living child was diagnosed with autoimmune type 1 diabetes. This caused her to delve headfirst into natural and functional medicine, and later nutrigenomics, as she pursued answers to why her perfectly ‘normal’ child developed a chronic health disease.
Salena became a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Certified Health Coach and obtained certification in Nutrigenomics through NutriGenetic Research Institute. She has studied an additional 300+ hours in Functional Immunology, Autoimmunity Clinical Strategies, and other Functional & Herbal Medicine related training. She is the founder of The Functional Perspective where she teaches individuals how to connect their genomics with their health to create a strategy for a clear path to restored wellness. Her mission is to redefine healthcare by providing others Clarity, Action steps, Resources, and Empowerment. (C.A.R.E). She created Fortitude's Nutrigenomic Program.
Anita Ahuja MD, has a strong interest in whole-body health, taking allopathic medicine and combining it with eastern philosophy, and nutrition. Anita has many years of experience treating patients who need a whole-body approach and is dedicated to taking her knowledge beyond the traditional medicine approach to help others as she does as a consultant to Fortitude Functional Nutrition while practicing Gastroenterology. She completed her residency in Chicago at the University of Illinois, moving on to a fellowship at Stanford University where she studied gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. Mihaela Gruita, PharmD, CFMP
As the Naturopathic Pharmacist, her focus is on medication-related nutrient deficiencies - yes, medications cause nutrient deficiencies that keep you sick or may even make you sicker. To that end, she evaluates patients’ medication and supplement lists and assesses nutritional deficiencies, potential overdoses, and drug-nutrient interactions. Her ultimate approach is to find the root cause of the original problem.
Mihaela's education and training include a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California, certified in Medication Therapy Management and Diabetes Medication Therapy Management through the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists. She is a Certified Functional Medicine Provider and a Certified Nutritional Endocrinology Practitioner as well as a Certified Digestive Health and Insulin Resistance Coach.
Holly Parker, MFA, NBC-HWC, FMCHC
Holly is a Colorado-based Board-Certified Coach trained and certified in the Functional and Lifestyle Medicine approach. She’s made it her mission to empower clients with the behavior change support needed to reverse chronic illness and resolve distressful symptoms once and for all. Day-to-day exposures may accelerate aging, weaken your defense systems, and reduce your capacity for peak performance. Coaching helps you gain control of the lifestyle areas that impact your durability, resiliency, and vitality so you can become and remain well and thriving amidst any circumstances.
Holly’s mission is fueled by her personal struggle and success with managing an autoimmune thyroid condition. She knows firsthand the anguish, embarrassment, and fear that comes with thinning hair. And, she’s here to tell you that there’s hope and that you are not alone.
Tara Perverseff, MA, FMCHC
Tara is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach who specializes in working with women who have experienced hair loss. As someone who understands the overwhelming panic of hair loss, Tara is uniquely qualified as Health Coach in this area because she has alopecia. With a desire to inspire, motivate and empower women to make a shift towards a healthier lifestyle, Tara believes health coaching is about exploration, support, and accountability for those who want to improve their health.
As a behavior-change expert, Tara works with her clients in areas including nutrition, movement, stress management, and sleep practices. Tara believes we choose our future with the actions we take towards better health today, and every choice we make in those lifestyle areas is a vote for the type of person we want to become. Tara loves working with clients to create a balanced plan to support their overall wellness.
